In 1981, Fidelity Management Trust Company (FMTC) was founded to provide investment management services to corporate and public retirement funds, endowments, foundations, and other institutions. In 2005, Fidelity established Pyramis Global Advisors* (Pyramis) as a separate subsidiary to focus exclusively on delivering investment products and services that meet the needs of institutional clients. Pyramis combines the expertise and resources of FMTC with an investment organization dedicated exclusively to managing institutional assets.
